Apply to join UNSW as a part‑time Lecturer (10.5 hours per week, 0.3 FTE) on a 2‑year fixed term contract. The role reports to the Program Director, BMed/MD, and is based in the Kensington Campus, Sydney.
About the Role
As a Lecturer (EF), you will deliver engaging undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes, assess student learning, and provide tailored academic support. You will design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to the development of experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. Your role includes managing course administration and quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Design, develop and deliver innovative learning activities and resources.
- Manage course administration, quality assurance and student support.
- Maintain professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge.
- Articulate a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.
Qualifications and Experience
- A PhD in a related biomedical or medical discipline (preferred) or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
