Senior Research Fellow – Dermatology, Randwick Clinical Campus

Location: Randwick, New South Wales, Australia. Duration: 12‑month fixed term. Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week. Salary: $150,000–$172,000 (based on experience) + 17% superannuation + leave loading.

Why This Role Matters

The Senior Research Fellow will conduct independent, high‑impact research, build a nationally recognised research profile, and develop specialist research groups. The role involves securing competitive research funding, establishing national research networks, and mentoring students and colleagues. Candidates should have expertise in cutaneous toxicities of immunotherapy and demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and organisational skills.

Skills and Qualifications

• A PhD in epidemiology or equivalent, with medical qualification and specialist qualification in dermatology (FACD or international equivalent).
• Experience in managing cutaneous toxicities of immunotherapy.
• Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
• Track record of high‑quality, high‑impact research demonstrating research excellence and leadership.
• Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
• Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values, and relevant policies and guidelines.
• Commitment to health and safety responsibilities and training.
