The Opportunity

Join the School of Computer Science and Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in an Education Focused role. In this role, you will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning within cybersecurity, while helping to shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and computing graduates. You will contribute to teaching across areas such as penetration testing, reverse engineering, wargaming, offensive and defensive security, and related cybersecurity disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will play a key role in delivering engaging learning experiences, developing innovative curriculum and teaching approaches, and enhancing student learning outcomes.

About You

You are an engaging and passionate educator with expertise in cybersecurity and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. You bring knowledge in areas such as penetration testing, reverse engineering, wargaming, and offensive and defensive security, along with the ability to contribute to an inclusive and high-performing academic environment. At Lecturer level (Level B), you will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and student support across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, while continuing to develop your teaching practice and educational innovation capabilities. At Senior Lecturer level (Level C), you will demonstrate educational leadership through curriculum innovation, mentoring colleagues, leading teaching initiatives, and contributing to the advancement of teaching excellence across the School and broader UNSW Education Focused community. You are collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to create meaningful learning experiences while building strong relationships across academia and industry.
