Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term until 18 December 2026
Remuneration: Academic Level B $127K- $150K (based on experience) + 17% super + annual leave loading
Location: Kensington Campus, New South Wales

The Lecturer (Education Focused) in the School of Pharmacy at UNSW plays a key role in delivering high-quality, education-led teaching within the Health Sciences portfolio. The position contributes to the design and delivery of engaging, evidence-based learning across pharmacy and related disciplines, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop strong professional knowledge and skills.
Focused on enhancing the student experience, the role involves developing innovative teaching practices, designing learning activities and assessments, and supporting student progression and employability outcomes. The Lecturer also undertakes course coordination and academic quality assurance, contributes to accreditation processes, and maintains ongoing professional and pedagogical development.
As part of UNSW’s education-focused academic community, the position actively contributes to school and faculty initiatives, fostering a collaborative teaching environment and upholding the University’s values, standards and commitment to educational excellence.
Key Skills Required
- A PhD in pharmacy with relevant work experience.
- Registration as a pharmacist (or eligibility) in Australia.
- Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).
