About Us: Our company provides compliant, efficient, and tailored payroll solutions to contractors and recruitment agencies across the UK. We are growing rapidly and seek a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our client base and build strong agency relationships.
Role Summary: The BDR will focus on generating new business opportunities by prospecting recruitment agencies and contractor networks. They will manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to onboarding handover, ensuring high-quality service, consistent pipeline development, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and contact new potential clients via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking events.
- Book and conduct introductory meetings to understand client needs and present tailored umbrella solutions.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline, managing opportunities through CRM systems.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead nurturing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Achieve monthly targets for new agency sign-ups, lead generation, and revenue contribution.
- Maintain detailed records of activities, prospects, and progress in the CRM system.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and potential service enhancements.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (ideally B2B environment).
- Knowledge of umbrella payroll, contractor payroll, or recruitment agency operations preferred but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, target-driven, and comfortable working to KPIs.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot) is desirable.
KPIs & Success Measures:
- Minimum number of outbound prospecting activities per week.
- Qualified appointments booked per month.
- New agency sign-ups and payroll volume growth targets.
- Consistent, accurate CRM reporting and pipeline health.
Package:
- Competitive base salary (Β£28,000 β Β£35,000 depending on experience).
- Uncapped commission scheme with OTE potential of Β£45,000 β Β£50,000+.
