Maintenance Engineer / Multi Skilled Engineer (Night Shift) – Southampton
Salary: £43,000 (+25% shift allowance). Normal working hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 00:00 to 08:00.
Unknown recruitment is seeking experienced Maintenance Engineers for our Engineering client’s team based in Southampton. You will be part of a team that provides great opportunities for growth and development and values curiosity, courage, compassion, collaboration, and commercial thinking.
The Maintenance Engineer positions will actively contribute to the achievement of Quality & Service goals and continuous improvement culture by ensuring that process critical equipment is maintained and cared for at all times. This is a busy and challenging environment, and both perseverance and flexibility in approach will be required for success.
We are looking for Maintenance Engineers / Multi skilled Engineers who have completed an engineering apprenticeship (or can demonstrate extensive experience) with a minimum ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
Proven ability to diagnose faults and solve problems in a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:- Mixture of PM and reactive maintenance work on bespoke manufacturing machines
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ensure process‑critical equipment is maintained to the highest standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to quality and service goals
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
- Completed engineering apprenticeship (or can demonstrate extensive experience)
- Minimum qualification: ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Proven ability to diagnose faults and resolve issues across a range of systems
