Sowerbys is one of Norfolk’s leading independent estate agents.
We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Digital Marketing Specialist with extensive hands-on Meta advertising experience to take ownership of our digital marketing across residential sales, lettings and new homes.
You’ll understand what works across paid and organic social media – and why.
You’ll plan campaigns, analyse performance and audience behaviour, and turn those insights into commercial recommendations that improve results.
Creativity is equally important. You’ll develop engaging campaigns, content and video ideas while ensuring everything we produce feels unmistakably Sowerbys.
Working closely with our Marketing Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of our digital activity and line manage one member of the digital marketing team.
You’ll also collaborate with our wider Marketing and Visual Media team to deliver joined-up campaigns that build our brand, generate high-quality enquiries and produce measurable results.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking ownership of Sowerbys’ digital marketing activity and helping shape its direction.
- Planning, building and managing paid social campaigns, particularly through Meta Ads Manager.
- Managing campaign objectives, audiences, budgets, creative formats, tracking, testing, optimisation and reporting.
- Analysing paid and organic social performance, audience behaviour, lead quality, website activity, conversions and return on investment.
- Turning data and campaign findings into clear recommendations for the Marketing Director and wider business.
- Continually testing and refining audiences, content, creative and campaign approaches.
- Planning integrated campaigns across social media, email, website and other digital channels.
- Overseeing the social media content calendar and using performance insights to guide future content.
- Writing engaging social posts, website content, blogs and emails in the Sowerbys tone of voice.
- Developing ideas, scripts and briefs for brand films, property films and social video, working with our videographers, photographers and presenters.
- Supporting improvements to website content, landing pages and customer journeys.
- Supporting our SEO strategy through keyword-led content and on-page optimisation.
- Managing email marketing and making better use of customer data and segmentation.
- Creating tailored digital plans for important residential sales, lettings and new homes opportunities, including high-value properties and key developments.
- Producing monthly performance reports, managing budgets and working with relevant agencies and suppliers.
- Line managing one team member, setting priorities, overseeing their workload and supporting their development.
- Building strong relationships with our offices and helping colleagues understand how digital marketing contributes to their success.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be commercially minded, analytical and creative, with the confidence to take ownership, challenge existing approaches and make evidence-based recommendations.
You should have
- Extensive hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, including building campaigns from the ground up, developing audiences, allocating budgets, testing creative, optimising performance and reporting results.
- A proven record of improving lead quality, cost per enquiry, conversions or return on investment through paid social campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign, social media and website data into commercial recommendations.
- A detailed understanding of audience behaviour and the content that generates engagement, enquiries and conversions.
- Experience managing organic social channels and using performance insights to guide content.
- Broad digital marketing experience across several channels. Knowledge of Linked In Campaign Manager and other paid platforms would be advantageous.
- Strong creative judgement and the ability to develop ideas for campaigns, property marketing and video.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, including writing scripts and creative briefs.
- A good understanding of SEO and how content, websites and search work together.
- Working knowledge of content management systems, Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
- Experience managing campaigns, budgets and deadlines, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership.
- The confidence to work with colleagues at every level and provide clear direction while maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience managing, supervising or developing another team member would be advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car, as occasional travel across Norfolk is required.
- Experience in property or another lifestyle-led brand would be useful, but isn’t essential.
What matters most is your ability to combine paid social expertise and intelligent performance analysis with strong creative judgement and measurable commercial results.
Why join Sowerbys?
You’ll play an important role in shaping the digital presence of a well-established Norfolk brand.
As part of our experienced in-house Marketing and Visual Media team, you’ll have the freedom to bring forward ideas, test new approaches and create work you can genuinely be proud of.
