The role of an HR officer at UWE is a varied one, and you will spend a lot of time giving advice to managers about a range of queries on the phone and by email. Some of these queries can be around things like conduct, performance management, maternity and contracts, so it’s essential that you have the knowledge and experience to assist with queries of this type.
Other tasks include managing cases of long term sickness and occupational health, as well as dealing with work permits, so a knowledge of UKVI regulations is important. Naturally, there will be administration and data input to do, so having experience of HR systems will be beneficial.
