Do you have experience of working in HR? Are you knowledgeable when it comes to HR advice, and comfortable assisting managers with a range of generalist queries? The role of an HR officer at UWE is a varied one, and you will spend a lot of time giving advice to managers about a range of queries on the phone and by email. Some of these queries can be around things like conduct, performance management, maternity and contracts, so it’s essential that you have the knowledge and experience to assist with queries of this type.

Other tasks include managing cases of long term sickness and occupational health, as well as dealing with work permits, so a knowledge of UKVI regulations is important. Naturally, there will be administration and data input to do, so having experience of HR systems will be beneficial.

The successful candidate will join our friendly and experienced HR advice team who will be supporting you throughout the assignment. The role is remote to begin with, but there will be an expectation to come back into our office when government guidelines allow, so unfortunately it’s not available on a remote basis permanently.

When applying, please submit your CV and in the ‘Additional Information’ field of the application form, include a paragraph with a brief overview about your skills and experience and how they are relevant to this role.
