We are seeking an ambitious, proactive and highly organised UST Estates Manager to join our Central Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining safe, compliant and well‑managed learning environments across our family of schools.
Working closely with the Head of Estates & Health & Safety, you will support the delivery of estates, facilities, compliance and health & safety services across the Trust while contributing to capital projects and operational improvements.
About the Role
This diverse and rewarding role combines estates management, project support, compliance monitoring and contractor management across multiple school sites.
You will
- Support the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance across Trust schools.
- Coordinate contractors and specialist service providers to ensure works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Assist with the delivery of capital projects, helping to monitor progress, quality and compliance.
- Support procurement activities, purchase orders and financial monitoring processes.
- Monitor contractor performance, service agreements and key performance indicators.
- Work closely with school leaders and facilities teams to maintain safe, compliant and well‑maintained environments.
- Support Health & Safety, statutory compliance and safeguarding requirements across the Trust.
- Undertake site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and reporting findings.
- Help maintain and develop the Trust's Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
- Support Trust‑wide service contracts including cleaning, catering, lettings and facilities services.
About You
We are looking for someone with
- Experience within estates, facilities management, property maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, contractor management and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting projects and coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Experience working with budgets, purchase orders and financial monitoring.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple sites.
Overtime is paid at a planned set rate in line with NJC/Green Book terms and conditions.
