The team looks after some of our most fundamental and critical IT infrastructure enabling all of the incredible day-to-day activities that the University performs. About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional team leader to strengthen the technological infrastructure of a world-leading university. The ideal candidate will be a bridge across our community, engaging effectively with undergraduate students, world-class academics, and professional support staff. We are looking for a leader who can anticipate the needs of these diverse groups and empower their team to deliver solutions that underpin excellence in teaching and research.
You will be supported by an experienced team and have the opportunity to engage with new technologies, foster cross-sector relationships, and build a robust foundation with our partners and suppliers to deliver value at every step.
In this role, you will manage a very diverse portfolio of services, overseeing the operation of our Linux server infrastructure, expansive filestores, and our cutting-edge AWS environment. You will bridge the gap between technical operations and strategic planning, acting as a technical supervisor for high-impact projects. This isn't just about maintaining current systems; you'll have the autonomy to build our technical roadmap, lead high-impact strategic projects, and collaborate across IT Services to shape the future of our infrastructure.
