The Computer Science Department (Faculty of Sciences) seeks to appoint a Student & Academic Administrator to work as part of the Student Engagement Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a service and proactive oriented person who seeks to develop themselves within a world-leading academic Department. The post will support administration in the department across undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes across the student lifecycle.

The role will involve extensive contact and communications with students, applicants and potential applicants. The post will also work with a range of staff (Department and across the University) together with visitors. The focus of the post will include recruitment, admissions, outreach, alumni relations, student and applicant communication and engagement. This is a fixed term post for a period of 6 months.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed:

  • Level 2 qualification including Maths and English. (Qualifications at this level include five GCSEs at grade A*-C/ grade 4-9.)
  • We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-UK qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of providing a high-level of customer service.
  • Proven problem-solving with the ability to prioritise to meet required deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Organise activities and resources.
  • Works collaboratively with others.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement.
