As a Finance and Income Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for financial income queries and requests. You will play a key role in the Centre's financial month end processes by preparing project timesheet data for invoicing to project funders, and supporting invoice and journal preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and undertaking auditable processes for expense claim forms, cash proforma, year‑end accruals, core Centre workorder requests, raising adhoc invoice requests and new customer requests.
- Monitoring and processing postgraduate funding requests for research training support grants.
- Providing cover for the SEI York Finance Administrator when required, including being a second purchase card holder for the centre.
- Monitoring and processing income, expenditure and payments across Centre accounts.
- Maintaining an auditable financial filing system, accurately recording and processing financial transactions.
- Acting as the main finance system user; running queries/reports and answering staff queries as required; carrying out the finance functions and advising other Agresso users in the team; ensuring effective housekeeping of the Agresso finance system.
This is a part‑time post working 18.50 hours a week on a fixed‑term contract for 12 months.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, diligent and adaptable individual who has a thorough knowledge of administrative and/or financial processes and procedures and who has prior experience of working in a busy office environment. This role will appeal to someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, is proactive and can work and communicate well with others. You will need to work to a very high degree of accuracy and manage your own priorities.
