This is an exciting time to join the University, as the Physician Associate MSc programme has been running successfully since 2016 and is part of the Three Counties Medical School. Our state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities will allow you to utilise a range of innovative, student-centred teaching methodologies. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to meeting the educational needs of our students and developing a strong professional identity, as well as a commitment to person-centred care.
We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer Practitioner with the vision, commitment, academic ambition, and capacity to contribute to the delivery of Physician Associate education. In addition, as a clinician from an appropriate discipline (Physician Associate, Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health, or a doctor), you would have opportunities to develop and teach healthcare students across the medical school and wider university.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for educational scholarship to develop their educational skills. A range of continuing professional development opportunities are available to support those transitioning into a career in academia, as well as those who have already developed an academic identity. This includes support to gain a recognised teaching qualification, as well as Fellowship of Advance HE.
The post is full time but may also be negotiated on a part time/job share or secondment basis where appropriate, to facilitate clinical duties, which will be discussed with the successful candidate.
