Working alongside a team of tradespeople and maintenance operatives under the guidance of a member of the Estates and Maintenance Team, you will be part of the successful delivery of a reactive and planned maintenance service for all users of the University facilities. You will deliver the very best customer service from a temporary repair to a project, placing the customers' needs at the forefront of every job undertaken. Using software to update the current status of all jobs issued and taking an active part in team meetings to ensure that best practices and estate issues are discussed openly.

The University Estate operates over a number of different Campuses with a GIA of approximately 80,000m2 with a diverse portfolio of buildings. The Estate offers a varied and challenging workload, and the ability to solve problems and work under pressure at times is essential.

Hours of Work
Working hours are 37 hours per week. There is a requirement to work 14 weekend days, which will be subject to rota (paid at an overtime rate). The summer period is normally an extremely busy period, and total annual leave should not exceed 10 days during this period.
