Please note this vacancy is only eligible for students or employees of the University of Worcester. Events at the University of Worcester are key components of the University's strategy for growth and underpin the development aspirations of the university. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of the Arena's event management function.
The post holder(s) will be required on site for the duration of their event shift. Events you'll be working at include netball, basketball, karate, taekwondo, cheerleading, dance, conferencing, concerts and awards events. Our stewarding team undertake a variety of tasks, which range from set-up, bag checks, car parking, turnstile and VIP entry, crowd safety, merchandising and sales, cloakroom attendants, court attendants, broadcast runners, team liaisons to VIP hosting.
The role will suit confident individuals who have a real interest in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Within University semester time, events take place at evenings and weekends and shifts will vary between 4 and 8 hours, dependent upon the event schedule. Flexibility to undertake shifts at these times is a key requirement. We are particularly seeking Arena Event Stewards that are available to support events over the summer period.
