We are seeking to recruit a full-time Sports Assistant/Fitness Instructor to support the operation of the sports facilities at our Walsall and Wolverhampton Campuses. The role includes gym supervision, leading group exercise classes, fitness suite inductions, assisting with sports set-ups and de-rigs, and sports centre reception duties.

Good customer care skills, the ability to handle customer enquiries, and a commitment to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role. You will also need to be well-organized, possess good communication skills, and be able to take some responsibility for ensuring the successful operation of the business. Good clerical and IT skills are required, and experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.

You must have a Level 2 Fitness Instruction qualification and experience of leading group exercise classes would be an advantage or willingness to achieve this within 3 months of employment. Shift working patterns are in operation (WLV Sport operates 7 days a week between 6:15 am and 10:30 pm), so flexibility is necessary to meet the needs of the business.
