Details As an Events Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of events across the Students’ Union venues and wider university. Working closely with the Venues Team, you will provide day-to-day operational support to ensure events are delivered to a high standard, enhance the student experience, drive engagement, and contribute to venue sales and commercial success.
You will collaborate with colleagues across the Students’ Union to help develop, promote, and deliver a diverse programme of events that appeals to our broad student community. Using your knowledge of student interests and networks, you will support efforts to engage students and encourage participation in events and activities.
The role also involves supervising student staff during events, ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained and that events run safely, efficiently, and smoothly. You will collect feedback, attendance data, and other insights to evaluate event success, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape future event programmes.
