As a venues assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the SU Lounge in Walsall and wider venue operations. Working closely with the Venues Team, you will provide day-to-day operational support to help ensure the venue is delivered to a high standard, enhance the student experience, drive engagement, and contribute to venue sales and commercial success.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Students’ Union to support the delivery of a welcoming and inclusive venue environment, while helping to identify opportunities to improve service, increase sales, and meet the needs of a broad student community. Using your knowledge of student interests and customer expectations, you will contribute ideas to help make the venue appealing and engaging for students.

The role also involves supporting the delivery of activities and events within the SU lounge, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and helping to ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently, and smoothly. You will work in line with Students’ Union policies and procedures, provide feedback on service, operations, and customer experience, and help identify opportunities for improvement to support the ongoing development and success of the venue.
