An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of Winchester for a Student Engagement Officer to work within the Student Support and Success directorate. The University of Winchester has long prioritised student engagement and is proud of its strong reputation for enhancing student voice and developing staff-student partnerships.

This Student Engagement Officer will play a key role in developing and co-ordinating the University’s promotion and enabling of student engagement from transition into university onwards. This role will take a lead on the operational elements of the National Student Survey and will also review key policies and procedures relating to student engagement and student voice.

The postholder will support student-facing teams, in particular the Student Support and Success Student Journey and the International Student Success teams, with planning and running events and sessions to support the sense of belonging of our students. They will also work closely with colleagues across the University to identify parts of the student body where support and intervention can be targeted in light of gaps in access, participation and success.

The ideal candidate will be customer focussed, experienced in working with students in a partnership model alongside supporting the delivery of project and events, and have a positive attitude towards students and their needs.
