The Directorate of Faculty Professional Services and Planning at the University of Winchester is seeking a Media, Production & Performing Arts Technical Manager to work within the Faculty Technical Services team.

This role is responsible for managing a team of technical staff who support Media, Production and Performing Arts programmes in their use of technical spaces and specialist equipment. The role-holder will provide line management, technical support and demonstration, and lead on the implementation and adherence to safe working practices when working in technical spaces with specialist equipment. The maintenance and upkeep of the technical spaces and equipment is essential in delivering an excellent user experience, and safe working environment, for all students, staff, and external users.

As our ideal candidate you will have experience managing a team or individuals and experience working in a technical space with equipment relevant to Media, Production and/or Performing Arts. You will have knowledge of safe working practices in technical spaces and be experienced in demonstrating equipment relevant to these areas. In addition, you will be skilled in communication and organisation and have the ability to problem solve in time‑pressured environments.
