The University of Winchester has an opportunity for a qualified Health and Fitness Instructor to work within the popular University gym. The gym is located in Burma Road Student Village and spans over 2 floors; the top floor hosts a large TecnoGym cardio area providing bikes, treadmills, climbers, cross trainers, rowing machines as well as a stretching zone and fixed LifeFitness resistance machines. Downstairs hosts changing spaces along with functional and weight training space.
The Gym members benefit from free access to all of the Fitness & Wellbeing Classes that are on offer in our Fitness Studio, all of which provide an excellent workout experience.
The Health and Fitness Instructors will be responsible for offering members’ gym inductions, exercise prescription programmes, technique and nutritional advice, fitness class instruction as well as promoting the benefits of attending the in-house fitness and wellbeing classes, exercise workshops and gym challenges. All instructors are responsible for supporting and supervising students on our Mental Wellbeing Exercise Referral Scheme.
As our ideal candidate, you will be a qualified fitness instructor with experience of training customers on a wide range of sports/athletics/fitness equipment.
