The Campus Management Team at the University of Winchester are looking for a Team Leader to join our busy team in the Estates and Facilities Department. The Team Leader will act as first point of contact for the cleaning team members working across our beautiful campus. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within the cleaning industry.

Working closely with the Supervisors, the post holder will help allocate daily duties to the cleaning team as well as assisting with training and mentoring new staff. Acting as first point of contact for urgent cleaning requests throughout your shift, you will carry out cleaning duties as required in order to provide high quality cleaning services and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.

Team Leaders will be rostered to work across the 4 shifts on a rotation basis and there is a requirement to always have cover for the shifts starting at 06:00 and 14:00. Team leader cover is required across the majority of weekends. We expect staff to work no more than 2 weekends in 4. TOIL is to be taken in the week of the weekend on.

Shift Patterns:

  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • 08:00 – 16:00
  • 10:00 – 18:00
  • 13:00 – 21:00

Successful candidates will have experience of cleaning services and ideally have experience of mentoring or supervising staff. In return, you will have access to a wide range of benefits and support including:
