The University of Winchester is seeking a dedicated Audio Visual and Classroom Technician to enhance our technology-enabled teaching and learning spaces. In this role, you will contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of AV solutions, ensuring functionality and an inspiring learning environment.
You’ll work closely with team members and third-party providers to deliver solutions that meet high standards for our teaching spaces. Working in our Technology for Teaching Team (TFT), you will be assisting with all aspects of audio-visual equipment, from maintenance, installation and demonstration to answering queries from staff and students.
TFT is one of the key groups in the department and your role is pivotal in making the learning experience for students, staff and external customers as good as possible.
As our ideal candidate you will have knowledge of audio-visual equipment, together with good technical workshop skills and customer service experience. Familiarity with current standards for AV setups and interest in emerging technologies like augmented and virtual spaces is essential. Working knowledge of audio-visual control solutions using Crestron, MS365, using digital signage systems and audio over IP would be an advantage but full training is provided.
