The School of Creative Performance and Production at the University of Winchester is seeking a Lecturer to lead the delivery of the Dance provision in the Musical Theatre Programme. The successful candidate will be joining a School that sits within the Faculty of Education and Arts, and celebrates the power of creativity and collaboration to transform lives.

The post‑holder will provide dance training and deliver workshops to undergraduate students in Musical Theatre (and related provision), with specific responsibility for all aspects of dance and choreography on the programme. They will support and contribute to the development and staging of both in‑house and external performances and productions. The post‑holder will teach across a range of modules in this area, support the ongoing development of this area of provision, participate in the choreography and organisation of the provision’s stage productions. They will also assume organisational and academic administrative responsibilities at project, module and programme levels.
As our ideal candidate, you will have experience of delivering teaching and training in dance for musical theatre, together with professional experience as a dancer and/or choreographer. You will have knowledge of the musical theatre repertoire, and related dance styles, with particular focus on technical jazz for musical theatre. Proficiency in teaching other dance styles such as ballet, hip hop or contemporary is also welcome. You must also be able to work with students with a diverse range of abilities and learning backgrounds.
