About the area
The Directorate of Student Life sits within the UWA Education Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Education and Student Experience. Student Life plays an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world-class student experience.
The Division has four core functions, Student Administration, Student Offices and International Student Experience, Student Equity and Success, and Student Wellbeing and Engagement. The scope of services centre on the student journey, from the provision of student programs and activities that support and promote access to UWA, to student enrolment, course planning, transition, and progression through the lifecycle of study to graduation. The Directorate is also responsible for the delivery of services that promote academic success and support wellbeing and engagement for an enhanced student experience. Student Life works closely with the Student Guild, affiliated residential colleges and the wider UWA community.
A key function within Student Life is the Student Administration Team, who deliver core administrative functions, directly or in partnership with teams across the University at all stages of the student journey specifically, Fees & Enrolment, Scholarships, International Loans, Partnership Programs, Timetabling and Exams, Progression & Graduation. This requires close collaboration with other key areas in the University including Strategy Planning and Performance and Academic Quality and Standards for reporting and compliance, Brand Marketing and Recruitment and IT (Student Information Management team).
About the opportunity
- You will provide support and direction in the establishment, management and administration of prestigious scholarships, respond to complex and diverse enquiries using expertise and judgement to independently analyse and solve problems.
- Provide informed advice and provide senior administrative and executive support to the area.
- Deliver expert, evidence-informed advice to guide scholarship strategy and drive continuous improvement.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level.
- Experience in administering mentoring and coaching programs is desirable
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

- Occasional weekend work may be required.
