The predicted salary is between 70000 - 80000 £ per year.

26 weeks paid parental leave after one year and 36 weeks after five years continuous service, regardless of gender. 4 weeks annual leave with the option to purchase more. 13 weeks long service leave after seven/ten years. Salary packaging options. 17% superannuation, with the option to reduce to the minimum super guarantee. 25% off UWA full fee courses, discounted health insurance, and convenient on-campus childcare options. Incremental progression based on 12 months continuous service.

Deliver communications across the WA health and medical research sector. Part-time (0.8 FTE) to full time appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Possibility for the role to be extended. Base salary range: $95,231 – $100,643 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area: The WA Health Translation Network (WAHTN) is a collaboration of twenty-two Partner Organisations across WA’s health and medical research, academic and service delivery sectors. WAHTN is accredited by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) as a Research Translation Centre and is a member of the Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA). The role of WAHTN is to enable, facilitate and support the timely translation of innovative research into improved health service delivery and patient care. We support high quality translational health research; build research interest and capability with and across our Partner Organisations; facilitate genuine consumer and community involvement in health research; and build collaborative partnerships between health researchers, clinicians, educators, consumers, health providers and industry to promote research excellence and increase scale and national competitiveness. UWA acts as the Centre Agent on behalf of the Partner Organisations and provides business support to the WAHTN.

About the opportunity: Communicate the impact and outcomes of WAHTN activities by:

  • Working closely with WAHTN’s operations team to drive communications activity, including prepare communication, marketing and promotional materials, manage WAHTN’s website and social media presence.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with communication teams across the WAHTN partner organisations.
  • Helping to transform the WAHTN website into a vibrant go-to hub of information sharing.

About you: A relevant tertiary qualification in communications or a demonstrated equivalent competency. Relevant experience in communications and engagement activities at an appropriate level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to tailor content for different audiences, and produce engaging and accurate materials. Demonstrated experience in managing website content and social media platforms. Proficiency in a range of software tools and programs relevant to communications and marketing, including email marketing platforms; graphic design software and photo/video editing tools.
