The People & Culture (P&C) team at The University of Western Australia (UWA) plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, enhancing the employee experience, and ensuring compliance with workforce-related policies and legislation. Within P&C, the Payroll & Advisory Services function is responsible for delivering seamless payroll operations, employee lifecycle transactions, and advisory services. This team is at the heart of ensuring UWA staff are supported with accurate, efficient, and high-quality payroll and advisory services.
Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in processing employee payments. Establish and lead the People & Culture Service Centre, driving excellence in service delivery and ensuring a seamless employee experience. Provide strategic oversight for employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring smooth onboarding, promotions, terminations, and compliance-related processes. Use data and analytics to drive insights, improve decision-making, and optimise service delivery. Identify and implement improved ways of working, ensuring payroll and advisory services are efficient, responsive, and aligned with best practice. Champion continuous improvement, streamlining processes to enhance accuracy, speed, and effectiveness. Build a culture of customer excellence, ensuring employees and managers receive timely, high-quality support. Lead and mentor a team of payroll and advisory professionals, developing capability and fostering a high-performance culture.
You are a strategic leader with expertise in payroll, service delivery, and process optimisation. You bring:
