The Department NEON is a national charitable incorporated organisation that drives opportunity and social mobility in higher education by championing access and success for under‑represented groups.
The Role
- Support the Director in planning and delivering NEON’s online and physical professional development programme, including liaison with presenters, speakers and delegates, and evaluation of all events.
- Record and process event participant information and maintain financial records related to the programme.
- Ensure content related to the programme is organised and available via the NEON website.
- Work with the Director to market the programme to members and non‑members through direct email, website and social media to achieve participation targets.
- Support development of the programme, including introduction of an accreditation framework.
- Assist NEON working‑group chairs with meeting arrangements, publicity and uploading materials.
- Produce the weekly news bulletin for members, including content, design and distribution.
- Update the NEON website and social media presence.
- Organise NEON Trustee meetings and take minutes.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
The Person
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated individual who can oversee NEON’s event programme, including the annual awards ceremony and Summer Symposium. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, strong organisational ability, and can work remotely to agreed targets with minimal supervision. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and web content creation is essential. A high level of literacy and communication skills is required.
