The Department of Computer Science is seeking a Student Support Officer to provide high quality, authoritative and compassionate support to our undergraduate and postgraduate student community. This role is student-facing and requires well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, ideally gained in an education setting.

The role will provide temporary cover over the busy summer examination period, with the possibility of extension until 3 October 2025.

About You

You will be an experienced administrator able to manage complex casework and handle sensitive situations and information with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Working closely with the department’s Senior Tutors, the Student Support Officer will lead on all aspects of mitigating circumstances administration and student monitoring reporting. With responsibility for managing student engagement across curricular and extracurricular activity, you will have excellent organisational skills to manage a varied workload, including that of your direct report to meet departmental objectives.
