About The Role

This role will require a Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) (National security vetting: clearance levels – GOV.UK) and this will include undertaking a basic DBS check. This will need to be completed before any work can commence.
Please note that due to the nature of the activities within this role, we will not be able to consider individuals from any of the listed ITAR restricted countries.
We are working on innovative electrical machines that are instrumental in the decarbonisation of transport, and you will be critical to that success. The primary challenges are associated with manufacturing processes, cost reduction and applications engineering of electric machines and drives.
About You
An engineer with a pragmatic approach to materials and production engineering challenges in the manufacturing of advanced electrical machines. Their background might include skills and know-how in materials science, electrical machine construction, electrical insulation system design, composites, magnets, electrical steels as well as their manufacturing processes.

About The Department
