Location: We Care 4 Air Limited, Units 4, 5

Deployment of AI methods to support predictive diagnostics and automated quality assurance; Collaboration with engineering, product and customer‑facing teams to ensure the solution is fit for purpose, deployable and supportable; Contribution to requirements capture, test planning, verification/validation, and creation of technical documentation and knowledge resources. The role is collaborative and requires effective engagement with stakeholders, moving between research and commercial needs, managing milestones, and ensuring timely delivery of project outcomes. The Associate will maintain access to the BioSensors Lab at the University of Warwick, benefiting from academic supervision and support in evaluation methodologies and dissemination.

About You

  • Has a good honours degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or a closely related discipline, plus a postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) or industrial experience in embedded systems, AI/machine learning, digital signal processing or a relevant area;
  • Is technically confident delivering end‑to‑end solutions spanning electronics, embedded/edge software, microcontrollers and connected systems; strong programming skills for data handling and model development/testing; experience of software‑hardware integration with real‑time constraints (RTOS concepts); and familiarity with deploying AI/ML models in practical settings;
  • Possesses electronics knowledge, sensor/instrument interfaces, system‑level debugging, digital communications, device connectivity and secure connected products fundamentals;
  • Has experience in product development of field‑deployed instrumentation, low‑power or long‑term unattended system design (desirable); and exposure to air quality monitoring and gas sensing (advantageous but not essential).

  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, able to work effectively across industrial and academic environments;
  • Clear communication of technical ideas and translation of requirements into validated, deployable solutions;
  • Non‑smoker (including e‑cigarettes and vaping), as WeCare4Air is a non‑smoking company.
