We are looking to appoint an Electrical Services Officer who will play a key role in the running of the electrical testing of fixed wiring and appliances on behalf of the Electrical Services section in our maintenance department. As our Electrical Services Officer, you will serve as the Electrical Qualified Supervisor as defined by the NICEIC. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the quality, compliance, and delivery of day-to-day electrical work undertaken by both directly employed staff and external contractors.
You will lead a dedicated team and contribute to the management of electrical testing and installation services, ensuring all statutory requirements are met and thoroughly documented. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure services are delivered in line with the University’s service level agreements.
About You
You are a fully qualified electrician with significant experience in electrical inspection, testing, and supervisory responsibilities. You are confident working with both people and processes, balancing practical problem-solving with the necessary administrative and compliance duties.
A strong communicator, approachable, and a team player, with the leadership skills to motivate and manage a busy team. You will bring a proactive and professional approach to delivering safe, efficient, and compliant electrical services.
