About the Role

Applications are invited for a 2‑year fixed‑term Teaching Fellow in Political Theory in the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick, to start on 1 September 2026.

The appointment will be made at FA6 of the University of Warwick salary scale.

The successful candidate will undertake teaching duties in Political Theory, including but not limited to Introduction to Politics, Political Research in the 21st Century, Justice Democracy and Citizenship, Foundations of Political Theory, and Topics in Political Theory.

They will also supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and be supported to develop a research profile within the framework of the role.

About You

You will possess an honours degree or equivalent, and a Ph D or equivalent (awarded or near completion) in Politics and International Studies or a related discipline.

You will have the ability to deliver research‑led teaching, a commitment to innovative teaching, and a dedication to valuing diversity in teaching.

  • Strong track record or clear potential in research‑led teaching.
  • Experience or willingness to use innovative teaching and e‑learning methods.
