About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of biomechanics, biomedical engineering, motion capture, medical image analysis, and AI-driven healthcare technologies. Working within a highly interdisciplinary environment, the postholder will support the design, implementation, validation, and translation of innovative technologies into real clinical applications, with a particular focus on personalised and holistic orthopaedic joint clinical assessment and surgical pathways.
The role also involves analysing and disseminating research findings through technical reports, academic publications, presentations, and training materials, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful research outputs that advance current knowledge and clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage specialist research facilities and equipment, including a motion capture laboratory.
- Contribute to medical imaging, machine learning/AI, and statistical modelling workflows.
- Support the development, testing, and evaluation of novel biomechanical and rehabilitation technologies.
