The Department of Computer Science seeks to appoint a permanent Programmes Assistant to provide administrative support to our undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses. You will be the first point of contact for programme-related queries and support the delivery of an outstanding teaching and learning experience for all students. The role involves online and face-to-face contact with students and staff, and includes supporting departmental events and examinations, some of which may take place on a Saturday. You will also participate in student events such as Welcome Week, inductions and graduation.

We will consider applications for employment on a part‑time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full‑time.

Qualifications
  • At least GCSE level (grade C or above) in Mathematics and English.
  • Strong communication skills and a conscientious, inclusive approach to staff and student support.
  • A strong team player with the ability to stay organised and prioritise work.
  • Basic IT skills; training will be provided for any required systems.
