NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Child and Adolescent or General Psychiatry

About the Role

This role offers a 4‑year contract at the clinical salary scale, contingent on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will begin by 1 September 2027 and will be based at the University of Warwick, with an honorary NHS contract for specialist clinical training within the West Midlands deanery. The position requires 50% specialist clinical training and 50% research or education/training. The successful candidate will develop a post‑doctoral research programme aligned with Warwick Medical School’s mental health research priorities and be supported to apply for post‑doctoral fellowships and project grants.

Qualifications

  • Medical qualification and ST4 or above.
  • Higher degree (PhD/DPhil/MD) completed or submitted.
  • Evidence of academic achievement, including publications.
  • Holding a National Training Number (NTN) and having undertaken training at Specialist Registrar level.
