Responsibilities

In this role you will carry out routine, planned and reactive maintenance duties, fault diagnostics and repairs to a wide range of mechanical systems. You will also work on minor installations for all mechanical services throughout the University.

Qualifications

You will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Installations or Maintenance, and the ability to carry out installations. You must possess an excellent understanding of Health & Safety and the associated processes.

Working Hours

You are a member of the Late/Weekend Shift. Working hours are typically 8 days of up to 10‑hour shifts in any 14‑day period, with a 36.5‑hour week covering 13:00 to 23:00 Monday to Friday and 07:30 to 18:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Remuneration

Base salary up to £34,610 per annum. Market supplement £2,000 per annum. Shift allowance of 17% of basic hourly rate.
