Our Unitemps NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY team are looking for detail oriented, customer service focused Branch Administrators to join their team immediately, until the Christmas period, on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced, student focused team to assist in delivering on campus, part-time, paid job opportunities to the student population.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reception
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, candidates, clients, and University staff, providing a professional and welcoming service in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Respond to routine enquiries relating to payroll, applications, and Unitemps processes, escalating where appropriate.
  • Candidate Registration and Compliance
  • Register new candidates, carrying out right-to-work and visa checks, ensuring accurate completion of payroll and compliance documentation.
  • Provide candidates with relevant information and materials to ensure they are prepared before starting work.
  • Administration and Booking Support
  • Using recruitment software, allocate students to their bookings.
  • Issue timely correspondence to candidates and clients, following up on outstanding checks and references.
  • Support Unitemps Consultants with general administrative tasks.
  • Data and Systems Management
  • Maintain accurate candidate and client records.
  • Monitor job adverts on the Unitemps website to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • You may be asked to undertake additional duties and projects as directed by the Unitemps Branch Manager.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in recruitment, customer service, administration, HR or compliance would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
  • Ability to multi-task with a positive, can-do approach.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

This is a temporary role from 24th August until 23rd December 2026.

Rate of pay is £14.15 per hour plus £1.71 holiday pay.
