About the role:

  • Two Apprentice Technician roles available to start September 2026, part of a Level 4 four‑year Technical Apprenticeship Programme aimed at becoming an Engineering Manufacturing Technician.
  • Full time (36.5 hrs/week) with three days on campus and two days of training at Warwickshire College.
  • Must travel independently to sites and be able to start at 8 am.

Responsibilities:

  • Support academics, students and research projects within the School’s Technical Services team.
  • Work with an experienced technical team and develop practical skills in mechanical, electronic and other technical projects.
  • Attend training sessions and complete the assessments required by the University and apprenticeship provider.

About you:

  • Genuine interest in engineering and technology; some hands‑on experience.
  • Curious, logical, enjoy problem‑solving.
  • Proactive learner, initiative and willingness to develop new knowledge.
  • Team player, customer focused, can follow instructions and deliver work independently.
  • Confident asking questions and seeking feedback.

  • Successful applicants will be invited to a Technical Apprentice Assessment day (April/May 2026), followed by an interview.
