As an apprentice painter and decorator at the University of Warwick, you will assist in the provision of a general painting and decorating and long-term maintenance service to the University, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. The apprentice will work under close supervision on both planned decorating and reactive remedial decorating works demonstrating exceptional customer service, professionalism, and respect for university property and values. Maintaining punctuality, attending apprenticeship training, and completing required assessments and activities are essential. You will also identify and report any safety hazards to your manager, prioritising the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public.

As one of our apprentices you will be fully supported throughout. We provide a comprehensive training scheme where you will have mentors to support you along the way and if you put in the hard work, we will help you achieve your apprenticeship with flying colours.

You will be a good communicator with the ability to interact with a range of people, be keen to develop and contribute new ideas and skills. You will hold the ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions and learn and adapt to new skills.
