The IICL Birmingham Campus is seeking an Hourly Paid Lecturer to teach on weekdays. The delivery will be face-to-face on campus. We welcome applicants available to support the campus during the week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching, learning and assessments, and provide support to students.
- Deliver teaching and learning strategies in a variety of contexts using appropriate and engaging methods.
- Be involved in the design and development of high-quality teaching and learning materials.
- Supervise the work of students in a timely, professional and supportive manner, providing advice on study skills, research methods, assessment and dissertation work.
- Offer appropriate feedback, support, and encouragement to students to ensure a high-quality student experience.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in teaching, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level in a relevant subject area.
- Experience in the design and development of module content.
- Evidence of good organisational and personal management skills.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources.
This role has flexible hours across the weekday only. Hours are allocated prior to each term based on the Hourly Paid Lecturer's availability and the campus timetable needs. This role is not eligible for sponsorship in line with Home Office salary threshold requirements.

Compensation: £44 per hour plus a holiday entitlement of 18.03%.
