The University wishes to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Director of Global Engagement. This is a strategically vital role, directly supporting our ambition to be recognised as a globally connected university with a strong international presence. The post-holder will lead the development and delivery of innovative strategies that attract high-quality international students, expand transnational education (TNE) provision, and grow sustainable income streams from international markets. Working closely with colleagues across faculties and professional services, the Director will champion Ulster University’s offer on the world stage, building relationships that deliver long-term benefit for the institution and our communities. The role will require a visionary leader who can blend strategic insight, commercial acumen, and cultural intelligence to navigate the competitive global higher education landscape.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Substantial experience of leading at a senior level, successful international recruitment at scale and at an institutional level and across multiple markets.
- Significant record of the development and enhancement of global partnerships across a range of activities.
- Significant record of developing and delivering at scale a range of plans to develop and enhance the global reach and reputation of teaching and research within higher education institutions.
- Strong understanding of the global higher education environment, including TNE, international partnerships, and market trends.
