An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Simulation Technician who will assist the Senior Simulation Technician to run simulation and clinical skills labs, involving high / low fidelity simulators within the School of Health and Life Sciences at our Lanarkshire Campus. In this busy role as a Simulation Technician, you will provide technical support primarily to Nursing and Health related programmes.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Educated to at least SVQ level 3 in Healthcare Practice, or equivalent, with experience of working within a Clinical Skills Education environment.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to fulfilling duties with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.
  • Experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting IT equipment, simulated manikins, AV equipment or other mechanical or electronic devices.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with staff and students on all levels, with the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
