The predicted salary is between 15600 - 20800 ÂŁ per year.

Part time: 30 hours per week. Permanent. This role may be eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. If requiring visa sponsorship, the successful applicant will also need to meet a range of individual criteria to satisfy Home Office requirements. The University of West of Scotland is recruiting for a Placement Officer to join the School of Health and Life Sciences. Working in collaboration with the External Operations Manager, the successful candidate will liaise with external colleagues to design and implement the InPlace placement systems and processes to support the development and provision of placement across the school.

The postholder will liaise with colleagues both internally in Professional Support Services and externally to co-ordinate the work of others to ensure appropriate developments are successfully embedded. They will provide support to the External Operations Manager, School Lead for Practice Learning and Partnership, Head of Division and other senior colleagues to respond to operational matters relating to placement activity.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development.
  • Experience in Administration, including leadership and management of administrative staff, preferably in a Higher Education environment.
  • Previously involved in the development, implementation and review of operational procedures.
  • A working knowledge of committee management and report writing.
  • Experience of working with staff at a variety of levels across a large organisation.
