The predicted salary is between 36700 - 42600 £ per year.
This role supports a major programme of strategic change at UWS, driving engagement across three interconnected projects: VLE replacement, Banner upgrade, and Curriculum Manager. You'll create and deliver high-quality, integrated communications that inspire staff and students, promote adoption of new practices, and ensure two-way engagement. Working with executive leads, project managers, and the wider marketing team, you'll balance priorities, advise on best practice, and use the full communications mix – digital, social, PR, campaigns, and events – to maximise impact.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to influence are essential. The successful candidate should have the following:
- A degree in relevant subject or equivalent
- An in-depth knowledge of, and experience in, implementing best practice in corporate communications – to be able to make connections between institutional priorities, change projects and employee and customer (student) attitudes.
- Experience in corporate and consumer PR including proven expertise in devising and implementing effective integrated communications campaigns.
- Experience working with clients on cross-channel communications and marketing campaigns from concept through to completion.
- A proven track record in the delivery of integrated communications and marketing campaigns targeting multiple audiences – e.g., media, stakeholders, consumers and employees.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience with proven experience of influencing at all levels of the organisation.
- Internal communications experience in a large and complex organisation.
- Experience of managing and delivering events.
- Experience of writing for the web and creating content for digital channels.
- Proofreading and editing skills for print and digital publications.
- Experience of producing engaging content for social media.
