University of the West of Scotland Office of Vice Principal (Governance) & University Secretary Paisley Campus Governance Coordinator Salary: Grade 4: £27,344 – £32,296 per annum Full Time: 35 Hours per week Permanent THE POST: REQ000221 – Governance Coordinator An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Governance Coordinator to join the Office of the Vice Principal (Governance) & University Secretary at UWS. The Office of the Vice Principal (Governance) & University Secretary has responsibility for a range of key University functions including support to the University’s governing body (the Court); the Senate; Legal Services; Risk & Resilience; Graduations and other high profile celebratory events. Working closely with colleagues within the Court & Senate Office, the primary focus of the role will be to provide effective and efficient administrative support with a varied portfolio of tasks generally associated with the work of the University Court and its members. The successful candidate will also support a range of activities relating to the Senate and the University’s graduation ceremonies in Dumfries, London and Paisley together with some data compliance activities. Within the Office, we pride ourselves in providing a flexible and responsive professional support service to a range of internal and external stakeholders and are the first point of contact for Governors at the University. You will be an experienced administrator with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter, have the ability to manage conflicting priorities, work collaboratively and be committed to providing high quality customer service. Candidates should be educated to HND level or equivalent, have well developed IT skills and ideally possess a good working knowledge of University administration.
