The Civic and Inclusivity team within REE leads on the University’s civic and social impact strategy. We identify opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration with local government, civic organisations, and community partners. Together, we deliver initiatives that foster social value, inclusive growth, and opportunities for all—enriching student and staff experiences through active community engagement, volunteering, and socially driven enterprise.

The Role : Civic and Community Engagement Officer

As valued member of Civic and Inclusivity team, you will help create and sustain meaningful partnerships with civic and community organisations across research, innovation, skills, and enterprise. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality volunteering experiences that enrich the student journey, support inclusive regional growth, and champion UWE Bristol’s values around social justice and community impact.

You are a proactive and collaborative professional who cares deeply about making a positive impact. You bring experience of working within communities and charities, facilitating volunteering opportunities, and an understanding of the role universities can play in supporting inclusive growth.

Interview is scheduled to take place on 3rd September 2025 at our Frenchay Campus.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours with flexibility for job share arrangements. The role is campus-based for at least 60 percent of your time, with options to work remotely the rest of the week.

Salary offers will follow the University\’s assessment guidelines based on your relevant skills and experience.
