This unique partnership allows us to deliver further and higher education programmes at our 19 campuses and centres across the North and West Highlands, Skye, and the Outer Hebrides. To support our work, we are recruiting for the following role:
We are seeking a Student Engagement & Wellbeing Officer to be based at our Thurso campus.
Responsibilities:- To deliver cross-college guidance services to support students across the college, offering advice, support, and guidance on a wide range of issues.
- Responsible for developing and embedding a cross-college approach to student engagement, including liaison with HISA to support class representation and student voice.
- Organising, delivering, and coordinating services and activities to promote, maintain, and improve mental health and wellbeing.
- Providing wellbeing support and personal development guidance to students via drop-in or online sessions, facilitated peer support opportunities, workshop delivery, and social activities.
- Signposting to specialist advice where appropriate.
- Working with colleagues across the college, including curriculum, student records, performance, and planning departments.
- SCQF Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in an appropriate area.
- Demonstrable knowledge and successful experience of delivering high-quality student services.
- Previous experience supporting and advocating on behalf of others.
- Effective coordination and resource allocation skills.
- A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous.
- 45 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff).
