The predicted salary is between 25262 - 27602 £ per year.

To support our work we are recruiting to the following role: STEM Futures Administrative Assistant.

Salary range: £25,262 to £27,602 per annum pro rata.

Duration: Fixed term until 31 July 2027.

Working hours: 14 hours per week.

Location: Remote.

Closing Date: 31 July 2026.

UHI STEM Futures is an innovative one-year pilot programme developed in collaboration with The Highland Council. Funded by SSE Hydro STEM and delivered alongside the Science Skills Academy's Newton Room offering, the programme aims to inspire and support the next generation of STEM learners.

We are now recruiting a part-time STEM Futures Administrative Assistant to help bring this exciting project to life. The STEM Futures Administrative Assistant will undertake a range of administrative duties that support the coordination and delivery of the STEM Futures pilot programme.

This post is subject to a Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check, so please let us know if you are currently a PVG scheme member.

The workplace pension scheme provided to workers at grade five and below is the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). This is a qualifying pension scheme, which means it meets or exceeds the government's standards.

Full-time posts carry a total of 42 days leave per annum (pro rata for part-time posts). It is practice that, with the exception of a Christmas and New Year closure, leave may be taken at any time of year, subject to the requirements of the post and department and with the permission of your line manager.

If you are considering a secondment your leave entitlement would be as your current employment contract.
