Part time (22 hrs/wk), fixed term for 12 months

Actual salary Β£16,931 pa (Β£26,936 Full Time Equivalent) plus benefits
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to provide essential out-of-hours operational, and facilities support at the London School of Architecture. This is a varied and hands-on role, helping to ensure our studio remains a safe, secure and fully operational learning environment for students.
You will undertake minor maintenance and repair tasks, assist with health and safety compliance, and help ensure the studio environment is well maintained and welcoming.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
Undertake minor maintenance, repair and redecoration works throughout the studio building, including painting, fixing shelving, noticeboards and signage, and carrying out basic repairs to fixtures and fittings
Support the effective operation of studio facilities during evenings and weekends, ensuring teaching and study spaces remain safe, clean and fit for purpose
Undertake training and act as a designated Fire Warden and First Aider, responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
Our main requirements:
Experience in a maintenance role
Experience lone working
Proactive approach, using initiative and identifying potential areas for improvement and/or development and methods of addressing these
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent workflows
